💡 PhD school that crosses many disciplines with speakers from diverse research areas to deliver their stories on use of probability in computer science.

💡 Apparently, the budget could not cover printing event posters or signs- but credit where credit is due, once they started serving pastries during the breaks, everyone's spirit rose to the skies ;)

💡 The Spandauer (sweet pastry) alone are worth the travel to Denmark! :D

💬 I am glad that Ānrán invited me to stray a bit from my usual NLP-related activities and it was fun to meet and talk with so many people that actually do know "how to math" :D

💡 A yearly event for students to display and discuss the outcomes of their projects and thesises.

⭐ (Poster Presentation) CRAMT: Cross-Lingual Resource Aggregation of Low-Resource Machine Translation and Metadata

Here we presented the current state of our tool which grew out of the MTACR project that we (Tania, Myy, Me, Ānrán, Raman) are working on together.

⭐ (Second Place) CRAMT at EXPO 2024

We were awarded the second place of all presented projects and even received a price of 200€ :D

⭐ (Third Place) "Crazy Teaching" at Spring Hackathon with CHECK24

We were awarded the third place for our spontaneous creation and received some T-Shirts to serve as free advertisement ;)

💬 Raman invited us (Tania, Ānrán, and me) to this event and it was a lot of fun to cluelessly jump into a short project, trying to merge different ideas and ways of working in a (partially) new and unknown group!

💡 Conference spanning a wide range of fields that concern the creation, analysis, and (digital) processing of speech signals, with a special focus on applied research, i.e. practical applications and technologies.

⭐ (Paper Presentation) Can We See Your Response Before You Speak? Exploring Linguistic Information Found In Inter-Utterance Pauses.

Here I presented the paper about processing pause contents that we (Christian Schuler, Shravan Nayak, Debjoy Saha, Timo Baumann) had submitted.

💡 Conference aimed at publicly highlight and consolidate the important data science/AI/computation themes in Hamburg's academic scene.

📍 Institute of German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf, Hamburg, Germany

💡 Workshop aimed at bridging the gap between data scientists and sign language experts, advancing collaborative endevors.

💬 I got to meet many amazingly kind people, learned a lot from the given talks by experts and saw very inspiring project-posters that left me with way too many ideas to follow up on :)

💡 Conference aimed at sharing and collectively developing innovative teaching concepts for the education of the future.

💬 This was the first time for Dominik and me visiting Cologne and attending a conference together and just the cake alone would have been worth the travel! :D

💡 Conference aimed at the low-resource language Kurdish and any neighboring or contacting languages with a linguistic focus.

💬 Here, Raman and I presented our projects as part of the poster session. We had an amazing time and got to meet so many awesome people that we can't wait to see again in two years at the 7th ICKL! :D
